A Brief History
The firm was founded by Martyn Cox in 1988 who had previously been a member of the Board of Management at Buckell & Ballard in Oxford. Initially the office at 6 Corn Street was run by two full and two part-time staff. In 1992, number 8 Corn Street became available and the two offices were merged into one. This created space for more staff and a wider variety of disciplines. Since then, staff numbers have increased and Martyn Cox & Company has become one of the best known names in Witney selling town and country property throughout West Oxfordshire. In 2021, the branch was fully refurbished to a standard that we believe is simply the best in town. Our office is centrally located in Witney and has recently been fully refurbished by a superb set of local contracts. We believe our business is about people, not property. Not only are our colleagues brilliant agents, they are also wonderful local people that are here to help.
